Stands as a premier historic landmark in Phnom Penh, where a storied past meets modern sophistication. The architecture is a distinguished blend of French Colonial, Art Deco, and Khmer styles, meticulously restored to maintain its original grandeur. As the city's "Grand Dame," this destination has welcomed royalty and legends like Jacqueline Kennedy and Charlie Chaplin, continuing a legacy of timeless elegance.
The 175 guestrooms and suites provide a sublime haven of tranquility, featuring high ceilings, wooden floors, and private balconies that overlook lush tropical gardens or sparkling pools. The original building houses the classic Landmark Rooms, while the newer wings contain the State Rooms, both decorated with traditional Cambodian objets d'art and colonial décor.

Landmark Rooms, located in the main building, are furnished with a luxurious blend of Cambodian and art deco themes. The rooms are decorated with memorabilia and artifacts reminiscent of the Golden Age of Travel.
The State Rooms are newly renovated, retaining the elegant ambience of this historic hotel. Each has a balcony offering a view of either the beautiful tropical surroundings or the waters of the swimming pool - an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of this vibrant capital city.
The elegant Balcony Suites are spacious corner suites created in 2011, following the completion of a refurbishment programme at Raffles Hotel Le Royal. Overlooking poolside & garden, each suite measures 48 sq.m. and features a private balcony furnished with a rattan shell chair and patio seating, offering an idyllic touch.Indoors, timber beading, dark wood panelling line the interiors while rich fabrics and restored vintage furnishings retain the hotel’s timeless French Colonial and Khmer style. Louvered shutters, a distinctive exterior feature of the hotel cleverly brought indoors, separate the bedroom from the bathroom. While newly designed, the en-suite bathroom is reminiscent of old world charm with a claw-footed bath and free-standing faucet.
Ideal for the business or leisure traveller, Colonial Suites feature a walk-in wardrobe and faithfully restored vintage furnishings. True to the hotel’s original character, the 50 sq.m. Colonial Suites are decorated with wood panelling and custom-made Cambodian silks and evoke timeless French Colonial and Khmer charm. French doors lead to a private balcony offering views of lush greenery surrounding the hotel.

As President of France he visited Cambodia in 1966 and was made a General-in-Chief of the Khmer armed forces, and an honorary citizen of Phnom Penh.- Somerset Maugham, a well-known English playwright, novelist and short story writer during the 1930s- Andre Malraux, the talented avant-garde French writer, statesman, adventurer and art lover, who visited Cambodia in 1923 with his wife Clara.
The culinary experiences range from the formal to the casual, showcasing centuries-old recipes and contemporary techniques. Restaurant Le Royal remains the centerpiece, serving authentic Royal Khmer cuisine authorized by the Royal Palace.
