Accommodation is available in 24 luxury chalets, each with a private deck from which to enjoy panoramic views of the malaria-free Karoo bushveld. Game drives may take place as the sun rises, mid morning, during the afternoon, as the sun sets and at night depending on the time of year. The guided nature walks and cave exploration takes visitors back in time with the magic of 400 year old Khoisan cave paintings. Located just outside of the Big 5 reserve, this area is stocked with plains game and the walk forms a large part of our community conservation education component. Challenging 4x4 routes offer guests the ride of a lifetime, while bird watching enthusiasts are in for a real ‘tweet’ as the diversity of birdlife within the park is nothing short of amazing.

The African sky comes alive as night falls over our place of glory – creating perfect conditions for a cosmic safari. While they may be light years away, the heavenly bodies seem close enough to touch as Kuzuko offers some of the best stargazing in Africa all because of our off the beaten track location. The trained game rangers trade their binoculars for laser pointers as they guide you through galaxies, pointing out stars, planets, moons and other astral bodies through the lodge’s eight inch stargazing telescope. This uniquely exclusive activity offers the magical experience of viewing not just the majestic Big Five at the lodge, but also the glory of the mystical sky above the lodge. |
