We cannot imagine a better delta experience. The rooms were great, and extremely friendly staff were even better. Lucky was a wonderful guide. Before meeting Lucky we would never have dreamed about...
Little Vumbura is an intimate and remote - but eminently comfortable - camp, built on a secluded island in the private Vumbura reserve.
Little Vumbura camp is a beautiful six-roomed tented camp shaded by the canopy of an ancient Okavango forest. Each tent is large and roomy and has en-suite facilities. Like all classic camps the rooms are enormous but have ample space to maintain that cosy feel. A big double bed on one side and the bathroom area on the other. The central section has a couple of arm chairs, a desk and storage space. At the foot of the bed is a sliding door that leads out to a decking with some chairs and a sofa.
The camp is surrounded by water, both permanent deep channels and seasonal shallower floodplains, with access to good tracts of dry areas of open plains, woodlands and riverine forests. It's an interesting reserve, which has a particularly diverse set of environments within easy reach of the camp, as well as a high density of game.
Little Vumbura shares its concession with its more opulent sister-camp, Vumbura Plains.

There is one family tent which accommodates four guests comprising two rooms and two bathrooms each with their own entrance as well as an inter-leading door.
here are five standard tents with four twin bedded tents and one king size bedded tent. Each of the beautifully appointed tented rooms offer large and airy accommodation and have en-suite facilities including an outside shower.
The camp’s dining area is raised on stilts and tucked away under a canopy of trees with breathtaking views of the Delta. All meals are served buffet-style and can be enjoyed inside or alfresco under the stars.

As Little Vumbura lies close to the permanent channels of the Okavango Delta, water-based activities form a key part of the game viewing activities all year round with mokoros traversing the floodplains under the expert guidance of your guide and poler. Land based activities are offered in open, especially adapted 4×4 vehicles which allows guests to get close to animals in the savannah areas, whilst walks are available on request, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy Africa at a more gentle pace. Game viewing is consistently good with lion, leopard, elephant, sable and buffalo along with abundant plains game providing an excellent wildlife experience.

To get to the lodging, you are transported in a boat along water channels, waving at the hippos along the way! Once you get to the dock you are escorted to the reception area, which is beautiful...
