Vanua Levu

Vanua Levu is one of the tropics’ best-kept secrets even though it’s Fiji’s second-largest island. It is less tourist-oriented than Viti Levu but there's still lots to see and do for the more adventurous traveller. Protected bay that is a popular mooring for yachts, Savusavu town is set in beautiful surroundings and entices yacht lovers, divers and dreamers looking for a tropical idyll.
The island’s largest ‘city’ of Labasa, is a one-street strip of shops. The island is rugged and the coast is surrounded by an extensive system of coral reefs. The rest of Vanua Levu is given over to copra and sugarcane plantations,  mountain passes streaming with waterfalls, hideaway villages, endless swaths of forest and an ever-changing coastline forgotten by the world.
